Hi from Silverlake (L.A.)

After having 2 X-Types and an XF, I took delivery of my F-Type on the Labour Day weekend. Ultimate Black (w/Cilajet) with the black pack. I've got quite a few admiring looks, thumbs-ups, compliments...and, unfortunately, a couple of drivers who tried to merge into my lane by forcing me out.

However, I have yet to see another F-Type on the street!

Other than a couple of scrapes with the skirt under the splitter...I've yet to encounter a problem. I do have to lift my feet a little higher to get over the threshold though....but definitely easier to get in than my MGB. Still trying to get accustomed to which direction the roof switch is supposed to go.

Welcome to the club. I too find the roof switch opposite of what I expect, but: push it down for roof to go down, pull it up for roof to go up. You'll get used to it.

Putting the roof down at 30MPH is interesting. Don't have any loose papers on the passenger seat!

Congratulations on your new car!

I have also yet to see another one on the road. Maybe we don't hang out at the right places.

I don't mind not seeing the same car that I am driving every other mile. When you start to see too many, such as Miata's, that's just…too many.
