Is this supposed to happen?

I've noticed that the running light turns off when the turn signal is turned on. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal? I have the V6-S.

Yes that is normal. I have noticed that most cars that have LED running lights turn off the light on the side of the turn signal. I guess to make the Turn signal more noticeable.

I agree - my Audi S5 did the same, I think it's a USA thing for the most part. I saw lots of owners on the S5 blogs getting the software codes to override this as the Europeans did not shut off when the indicator was on.

Also, in the Audi it didn't shut off at night - not sure if the Jag does or not as I haven't taken notice of it.

Seems like all modern cars now use this feature during turn signal operation. Pascha

yes, it's usually a daytime running feature that the LEDs turn off to give better visibility of the turn indicator to oncoming traffic. At night time, when the headlights are engaged, they (LEDs) should not go off as the indicator is easier to pickup.

Thanks guys. You're right, it doesn't happen when the headlights are on.
