Hello,

Looking to buy F type and contemplating between F type sport or F type R.
I am not into track racing so just casual weekend drives.
Is the drive any different between the two besides the HP?
Greatly appreciate any input.

I bought a 2017 Convertible SVR 18 months ago. I am 75 and drive it almost everyday here in central Florida. It is the baddest, loudest, fastest, most fun car I have ever owned. You can not be horse power. PS. I get about 15 mph on premium gas and I stomp on it a lot.

You can not beat horse power. Also I get comments like, great car, cool car from other drivers almost once a week. Once from a guy driving a 911.

Ran with a 911 friend that lives in the N GA mountains a couple of weeks ago and it was nice to have the HP.

I, too, came to my 2014 V8 S after 45 years of driving Porsches. It is loud, visceral and fun. Porsches are more clinical, but lack the personality of any Jaguar F Type. Go for any F Type that suits your fancy. You will not regret it.
