Hi all,

Just picked up a Salsa Red V8S with lots of goodies.

After a weekend of driving I am realizing a radar detector is a must. I am thinking about the Escort 9500ci. Has anyone installed a radar detector yet.

Appreciate the thoughts and love the car.

So far I have seen only one other F-Type, a White V8. Hope to see you driving around the area. I am in North Naples.

Welcome to the Forum and good to have another F-Type in the Naples area. There appears to be some issues with radar detectors and you can find this information under General Discussion and look down until you see a listing, "Radar detectors and heated windshields" by CLAM. This might give you some insight into radars within F-Types. Good luck with your new Jag. Pascha

I know of a local installer (here in MA) who installed a radar detector behind the grill of another F-type. That's all I know.

I had the clear bra installed today almost invisible. Will be getting radar installed Monday. Found a reputable local installer who has done them on this car already. It can be difficult wiring it to the power since it is in the trunk.
