I plan to use a Deltran Battery Tender in my F-Type over the winter. The owner's manual says that the Battery must be removed from the car. I am wondering if this is really needed, and also if the Battery Tender could be attached at the jumper terminals at the front of the car, rather than directly on the battery terminals.

No need to remove the battery. Yes you can attach the tender to the terminal under the hood.

Why does Jaguar state in the manual not to charge battery(s) without removing them, if it’s OK to use a “smart trickle charger” connected to the terminals under the hood used for “jumping”???
