Over the past year on this site, many folks have asked or suggested how to charge your F-Type batteries when your car is in storage. I just returned after having my vehicle in storage for six months and the car started as new. I connected a low cost ($25.00) SMART charger to the battery terminals located on the passenger side of the ENGINE. This method will charge BOTH batteries which are located in your trunk. Every knows about the large battery on the left side of the trunk but many do not know about the small 5 pound battery hidden under the right side of your trunk. This very small one is used just for starting, therefore it is very important to have BOTH ready to go....I hope that this post clears the air about long term charging of your F-Type......Pascha

Pascha,
Others have reported that the small battery is actually used to power the accessories while the engine is off in ECO mode. Disconnecting that battery permanently shuts off ECO mode. Haven't tried that myself.

I used a Battery Tender Jr installed in the trunk, using Jaguar's directions to install their trickle charger. Had no issues storing it last winter, will be going into storage again soon.
