That's available in the vehicle configurator on the Jaguar website for $450. I thought about it briefly.

Enjoyed the roof down this morning, though it was in the upper 50s. Heated steering wheel was useful. Haven't had a chance to have it over 60 or so, but I'm doing a bit of road trip tomorrow.

I have it parked in a corner of the lot here at work, with the roof down. There's been a steady stream of people checking it out.
Thanks for the info............... I do not recall that as being available on the original order information. Now the dealership says the parts alone are $860 (STEEP)! I am asking my contact at Jag corp about the pricing issue.

I do have the issue that I've seen a few others report - sometimes when I lock the car, the rear (lockable) storage compartment falls open. You only get that compartment with the premium pack, I think. The dealer hadn't heard of that issue yet. No biggie, I'm guessing it'll be a software patch.

Karm,

I got the premium pack too. When I get my vehicle I know I will "laugh" about it for a few weeks

But to me the whole idea of a "lockable" compartment is to secure things especially if the top is down (am I crazy here) - I typically "lock" my convertibles top up or top down it's a force of habit and it also activate anti-theft.

I imagine it will get pretty annoying come week three (and the extra trip to the dealer to get a software patch).

No luck on the tread pricing, its only $450 when ordering........ closer to $1100 dealer installed. I'm writing that one off. Anyway stopped by the dealer to write -up my final paperwork. My salesman called the port jag rep for me and the computer/documentation said my vehicle left the yard at 5:00 pm on the 18th. We are not sure if or how many stops before delivery but it looks like Saturday might still be an option.

We got good news, our salesman called at 5:40 and said a transport truck with a Salsa red F Type arrived. We dropped everything and ran down to see.......... it is ours. Looks like Saturday for sure now. The vehicle was unloaded but was still in the shipping "baggie", we could see the 20" Tornado wheels. The salesman said they would not log it in until the office opened at 10 am and then they would start prep, but it takes a full day............ so Saturday morning works best for us.

Karm, it's good news for both of us as my car is being prepped at the dealer and they will deliver it to me in the next few days

Considering my foot condition right now I jumped at this chance (on one foot) - see page 6 of this thread.

SWEET GerryJag!!!! We were so excited ours hit the dealer lot, we dropped everything and drove 40 minutes to see the vehicle in the transport baggie and look at the wheels....... lol. We put our deposit down in October, so it has been a LONG time coming! ANTICIPATION, its keeping me waiting, lol. We look forward to taking a money order down Saturday first thing when they open and doing a little driving.

Prepare for some fun. No doubt you'll have good weather - rained the day I picked mine up. But I took yesterday off, and spent the day golfing. Great 1h15m drive to the course - had a blast in the car.

I was under the impression that the button for active exhaust was standard on the V6S, but apparently that's only if you get the configurable dynamics option.

I found the V8 I test drove surprisingly and embarrassingly loud with it turned on. V6S makes a nice noise, but only above 3000 RPM or so.

It does make a bit of bark when you start the engine. Would be nice if there were a way to defeat that, so you don't wake the neighborhood with an early morning exit.

I find the owner's manual could be a bit more informative.

My salesman drove it down to me from Rusnak in Pasadena (he drove all the F-types in the range on the track in Texas so I wasn't worried about him trashing it). He drove up to my house I spent two minutes signing my paper work, wrote a check, and I was done - what a way to buy a car!

The car actually looked better than it did on the floor of the the LA auto show. I am so glad I stuck with Satellite Grey.

Holly Mother of God this car is fun ... so worth the wait.

Let my daughter sit in it ... just sit in it.

I keep finding reasons to run errands. Realized on the final one this afternoon that I had forgotten my wallet, so it turned into a nice back road cruise. We're finally getting great top-down weather here.

Everyone loving their cars?

Wish I was so lucky! Not yet. It was dropped off in Port Hueneme yesterday. Ship headed out for Tacoma at sunrise, so I know it's here on terra firma. Dealer requested "priority" delivery, so hopefully I will see it before we go away for the 4th.

Will post photos when I see it!
Thanks for asking.

Best,
Dave

P.S. 2000 mile break in!!!!!! Darn, I only averaged a little over 9000 for a whole year on my last two XK's! I won't really get to play with it at my usual pace for about 10 weeks!

Hang in there, I fell sorry for you right know.

If it's any consolation I swear to God my little baby base V6 seems to get faster every week (I know I'm crazy stupid thinking this) but this car starts out great then it keeps grows on you. Jaguar totally nailed it.

My only grip is the stupid 'ECO' stop/stop thing and lack of an accessory mode (the damn car keeps starting when I am waiting to pick up my daughter and just trying listen to music) but that's trivial on the scale of things.

Maybe in a month when you calm down we can meet for cars -n- coffee.

Cheers

Please give us a review with your "thoughts" of your new F-Type! Does the eco stop kill the engine every time you stop?
