Anyone else disappointed with the F-Type's unexpectedly high weight?

I read elsewhere that the lightest F-Type is more than 200kg heavier than a Boxster and only 60kg lighter than an XK!

This is because the F-Type is based on the XK's aluminum chassis, and is wider than both Boxster and 911.

Yeah i also am not impressed by the weight @ 3,521 pounds (1,597 kg)

My car by comparison a 2002 Mazda RX7 Spirit R Type A only weighs 2,800 pounds 1,270 kg .

All manufacturers today seem to need a weight reduction programme lol
Maybe they have forgotten the sports car motto of power to weight ratio

I think we've just discovered the real reason Jag is using superchargers...

They just can't seem to make a light car to save their lives! Even though it's aluminium the V8S is 1667kg!!!

OMG!!!
