Factory Ramp-up Schedule?

My car is supposed to be built in May (for shipment to North America)- just curious if there are lots of cars now being built or if they are still at the prototype stage.
Anyone know when the local/Europe intro is scheduled to be for customer car deliveries?

Hey Thunder,
I was lucky enough to be able to talk to a Jag USA product manager who is over the F Type vehicles. He helped me with some questions during the ordering process and notified me when the order window opened (by phone and e-mail). I was able to call the dealer and let them know when the order window opened(LOL). Anyway he was over at the Castle Bromwich factory and testing facility the end of January for the ramp-up of production. I talked to him the beginning of March and he noted the production was underway. I understand Europe will be getting vehicles first. Also he did let me know that the US production line already has vehicles on the line. Those vehicles are "stock" vehicles that are being built to send to each dealer to show customers and sell. Those vehicles are on the line BEFORE the dealer order vehicles and will hit the dealers probably in May. He noted there were NO DELAYS in the start-up of production. That being said I contacted my dealer (scheduled May Build) and my order delivery date had changed by 3 days (later) but still in June. I hope that answers your questions.

PS One other item he mentioned was that Jag USA had recieved several ACTUAL PRODUCTION vehicles the beginning of March. He called those vehicles "training vehicles" that were to be used to train dealer staff about the vehicles.

his quote; "We just got a truckload of cars delivered for dealer training, and they look amazing."

Both he and my dealer noted that it would be closer to April 1 when the EXACT build date for my vehicle (dealer orders) would be set and it might move up a bit if production goes as planned.
