Hi All,

I am new to the forum from Chicago. I have a 2020 F-Type Convertible Checkered Flag. I came out of the office late last night to find that someone had thrown American cheese strips on the car. There appeared to be no further damage. However after thoroughly washing and waxing the car I noticed this strange pattern on the trunk. Could this be left over residue from when the car was delivered or something else? It only shows up after the car has been washed and dried and the car becomes a bit humid. Nothing is readily visible in daylight. Any ideas on what this could be? Any help is much appreciated!

That’s weird. The bars are the stiffeners in the trunk lid I think. The Matt looking paint around them could possibly be sound deadening insulating the trunk lid and causing temp differences between the inside and outside. Is it like that all the time?

I have a 2015 convertible and it’s been that way since day one. Something to due with the insulation and or supports within the trunk lid.
