I was fortunate enough to take delivery of the first F-Type sold in Nevada and one of the first cars sold anywhere in the country.

Here are the specs...

2014 F-Type V8 S Convertible
Firesand Orange
Jet Interior w/ Firesand Stitch
Climate Pack
Black Pack
Premium Pack
Vision Pack
HD Radio/Sat Radio
Extended Leather Pack
Meridian Premium Sound System
Performance Pack
20" Cyclone Wheels Black

The car performs better than my XKR, and actually comes close to keeping up with my 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S.

The exhaust note is my favorite thing on the car. It's mean and nasty. I would describe this as a British muscle car. I've had tons of fun driving it already. I am making a few changes. The red brake calipers clash with the Firesand orange so I ordered a paint match and Tuesday I will have the calipers repainted to match the car. Also ordered the carbon fiber engine cover and a few other accessories.

The up-level stereo is worth the money and believe it or not with the top up the car is very quiet. It handles well. I haven't put it through all its paces yet since I want to break in the engine but in about two weeks I plan to take it to Spring Mountain Motor Sports ranch and thrash it around the track to find out what it can really do. Any of you who are on the fence - get off it and come on over. You'll be glad you did. Just expect to get asked about the car everywhere you go.

I've been following your exploits over at Jagaur Forums. I test drove a firesand V8 with black wheels - what a beast. I couldn't believe how loud the engine note was, and I didn't wind it up at all. Have fun! Great color - pictures don't do it justice.

My V6S should come in this week. Salsa red!

Beautiful! That is almost the exact configuration that I have on order. Great idea about the calipers. Tell me more.

Getting the paint via the dealer? And they are going to apply it? High temperature I assume?

The dealership doesn't do it - but there are several companies here in Vegas that do. I've had my calipers painted on three different cars. They air brush them. I don't know the whole process but they cost about $125 a wheel and it takes four to five hours. I've never had any problem.

I have a chance to get the exact same car. I also happen to own a 2012 Porsche Carrera S. In my case I would have to trade in the Porsche for the Jag (I also have a Tesla Model S). Do you like the Jag enough to part with the Porsche if you had to?
