Jaguar has decided to offers its new XF Sportbrake station wagon in the U.S.

The brand took to the Paris Motor Show to show off a camouflaged prototype of the new model, which will be fully unveiled next year. Joe Eberhardt, president and CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America confirmed the news to Motor Trend, saying that the XF Sportbrake will be a global vehicle.

The XF Sportbrake will use the same aluminum architecture as the standard XF along with engines from the new Ingenium family, which means we can expect to see 2.0-liter gas engines and a 2.0-liter diesel. Eberhardt confirmed that all of Jaguar’s U.S. vehicles will offer a diesel besides the new F-Pace crossover.

A hotter R version of the XF Sportbrake is also said to be under development to better fight the Mercedes-AMG E-Class wagon and the Audi RS6 Avant.

The 2016 Jaguar XF starts at $52,895 in the U.S. and we expect the Sportbrake will be a little more expensive than that.
