If you go on a long road trip and get an unrepairable flat, you will be towed to the nearest shop and they probably will not have your tire in stock. Not even a Jaguar dealer might have it in stock. This means you could be staying in a hotel for a couple of days waiting for a tire to arrive. Not fun. Been there done that. For long road trips I now only use my other car that has a spare tire.
Probably a fare belief. I, however, am 71 years old and have, to the best of my still pretty damn sharp memory, have had zero blow outs that couldn't be repaired - not to imply it isn't possible but the odds are pretty much in favor of a repairable flat. His point however is certainly valid no matter the odds......I'm still driving the V 8 S!
