My 2017 S V6 AWD is getting paint film installed on the nose, hood and rocker panels this week. Very reputable detailed, works on the high end stuff around here. I’ll post my impression & some pictures next week.
Chris, I talked with the detailer and he’s plotted the film to cover the light covers. He’s doing a full paint restoration for & I’ll post pictures Next week. He’s also filling in the holes where the front license plate was installed. Looks so much better without a plate on the front.Had mine done as soon as I got it new. Invisible unless you really look closely. Do not forget to do the lights.
What shop did your work and how much??I got my car back today from having XPEL PPF installed on the entire front, headlights, mirrors, entire door and lower section behind the doors. All edges were wrapped and the film is absolutely invisible. Best part is it is good for 10 years. Worth every penny. If you are in the Atlanta area reach out and I’ll give you information on these guys.
It is a shop in Alpharetta called Atlanta Ceramic Coarings and PPF. It was just under $2600. Full coverage (not a bra level covering) as well as full doors, rockers ad lowers behind the rear wheels. What shop did your work and how much??

Thanks for the quick response. Looks sweet!! Any other recommendations??It is a shop in Alpharetta called Atlanta Ceramic Coarings and PPF. It was just under $2600. Full coverage (not a bra level covering) as well as full doors, rockers ad lowers behind the rear wheels.
Less coverage would obviously be less, but wanted as much coverage as possible without a full wrap. They also did paint correction prior to the wrap and applied a short term (6 month) ceramic type of spray & wipe coating.

I gave the PPF a couple of weeks to "cure" the PPF installation. I will now apply a ceramic coating over the entire car myself. I'm doing it as an added layer of protection for the paint that isn't covered by the PPF.Thanks for the quick response. Looks sweet!! Any other recommendations??
Took your advice. Got a full ppf and ceramic coating with a blue wrap.Think it should last for a minute👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾I gave the PPF a couple of weeks to "cure" the PPF installation. The DYI “ceramic” coat I used is called GYEON Quartz Q² CANCOAT. The application process is dead simple; Spray it on a microfiber towel, wipe it on an area of about 2x2 and buff it off as soon as it flashes. Move on to the next area of about 2x2. The results are great as far as being a hydrophobic coating. Test results I saw of it against other DIY coatings showed it to be at l;east as good as the others and in some cases lasting longer than some pro-applied coatings. I would nadvise not to try and put on more of the product than recommended. Better to let the firs coat cure and do another if you want. I plan on giving the first coat 6 months and then applying another coat.I had mine also covered in Xpel, ceramic coated and paint correction when I bought mine. I bought mine used with 11,000 miles. I am very happy I did and I think to me it is money well spent since I am so anal about my vehicles. I saw someone stating they were going to ceramic coat their own and would love to know how it comes out and how difficult of a process it is as a DIY.
