Pricing for used F-Types..

Did a quick search on Autotrader. 35 used F-types of various trims available.

Pricing for the V8 seems to be falling between $90K and $94K, with anywhere from 1,500 to 4,000 miles.

There's a silver one that seems pretty nicely optioned, at $92K. (Climate pack, extended leather pack, vision pack 3, performance pack, premium pack 3, Meridian Premium Audio System, HD radio and satellite radio, Savini wheels).

We all knew these would drop quickly, but frankly $15K for 4,000 miles (for this one) (or 12-14K for 2,000 miles for others), seems very steep on the depreciation curve. But then again I have bought a 2 year old M6 with 40,000 miles on it for 60% off new sales price...

I was thisclose to ordering a new loaded BRG V8, but my guess is that by the time I get it, I'll be able to buy a used one with 10K miles for something around $80K. Hard to pass up saving $27,000. Only question is whether I can fine one with all the options I want.

Keep in mind you're comparing used prices against MSRP, that included the destination fee as well. I have nearly the same car you're describing above apart from sat radio and only paid 4K more than it's selling for now.

I guess I got a great deal.
I really want to buy an f-type. I've been able to negotiate pretty incredible pricing - 2k under invoice for a V8 S. What scares me is the numbers of these cars on the lots. For some reason they just aren't selling. Lease rates are great but the residuals suck. I'm waiting till next year to see what happens with the F-type. I can only imagine the deals to be made in the next 6 months if these are the deals they are doing now so soon after it came out. I really just don't understand it...
I think the issue is Jag has to reinvent itself, it's no longer targeting the same market and the younger market it's targeting doesn't know Jag, the E type was 40 years ago. Lana del Rey is lovely, sings great but she's not my go to person for car advice. And as for the Ridley Scott epic, Desire, I liked it but while I like Damian Lewis in Homeland and he is/was English this was really a Daniel Craig role..

The car is awesome, the marketing less so, but the car will carry it
