The default on mine (in the USA) is that they fold when the car is locked and unfold when car is unlocked. Mine too (in the US) fold when locked and unfold when unlocked. I remember reading something in the printed manual about the dealer changing this. However, I just went through the slightly updated version of the manual I downloaded, and I couldn't find any mention of this. I did see that if you retract the mirrors with the mirror buttons, then they won't automatically unfold when you unlock the car. Only thing I could find.
