I apologize in advance if this has already been asked and answered. I did use the search feature but could not find anything directly on point with what I am experiencing. I have a 2017 SVR and I want to completely reset the infotainment system to factory settings. All navigation settings, saved destinations, radio presets, everything. Unlike every other modern infotainment system on the planet, there is no simple "factory reset" setting in the infotainment system itself. As far as I can tell, my model only has one large battery in the back under the trunk. I have disconnected the positive lead from the battery and the negative lead from where it connects to the body of the car and waited for well over an hour. When I reconnected everything, my windows and instrument cluster settings reset, but the infotainment system remained unchanged. Reading some other threads on this forum, I then disconnected the positive and negative again and held them together for a minute. That also did not accomplish my goal. What needs to happen to reset the damn infotainment system?
As a side digression, I also have a 2017 X5 ///M and the disparity between the two infotainment systems from the same model year is simply unacceptable. BMW's is magnificent and Jaguar's is like playing Pong on a Commodore 64. Good thing the Jag looks and sounds heavenly.
Anyway, thoughts on what I am doing wrong?
