The controls surface of most all buttons on the center console and parts of the steering wheel and other cabin controls seem to be melting and are very sticky or tacky to touch and white lettering on push buttons is coming loose or slipping off. Has anyone experienced the same problem?

Neutrogena® Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes did a great job on many of my sticky surface, with a lot of gentle hand rubbing. Some surfaces are black plastic and some are optioned as “graphite”, which is basically black with a gray color on top, and then all had a uniform finish to give them a tactile feel. It’s this finish that breaks down, and not just on Jag but other high end manufacturers, Canon binoculars etc. The wipes are best on black surface, but too much rubbing on the graphite ( if you have that option) will reveal the black underneath. I’ve also used baking soda with some success but it’s messy. In some models (XE?) jag did a factory recall and replacement. My dealer screwed me over, only replacing the bare minimum under warranty. Which is why I’ve since bought two Audis and zero Jags… in fact I don’t know any jag owner who’s bought a second one…the Australian operation is such an underperforming busines…

Oh yes. A known problem, and really annoying.
Use rubbing alcohol, 91% if you can get it, and a clean cotton rag. Take your time and it will come off, but doesn't affect the white lettering.

My experience is that the rubbing alcohol does work but the sticky condition eventually does return. I guess it needs to be considered as another detail item that needs periodic attention.

Had the same problem a few years back on My 2014. Was told by dealer to call Jaguar at 1-800-452-4827, OPTION 9, Ext. [2222] . What happened was I was told to get a quote from dealer to replace all components and they would pay half. Ended up costing about 2 grand for my share.
