Undoing Catalytic Converter from Manifold

Hi,

trying to undo the nuts for the catalytic converter which hold it onto the exhaust manifold so I can get cylinder head off.

but due to the angle and location having difficulty getting anything on them without it slipping off and they just aren’t coming undone.

Any tips and advice?
