What does Stealth Mode do?

Stealth Mode will dim the interior lights, at night time for example.

Hi,
I've got a friend who tells me that it slows the car down a bit and makes it less loud (so you can cruise quietly in town)?
Is that true?

That would be nice. It's pretty much useless - it dims the interior lights a bit at night, to make the interior a bit darker.

Too bad...
I just love the F type, but if it was a little bit quieter, for instance when you drive past an impoverished town and everyone is looking at you strangely, as of they were going to attack you and the car... Jaguar should improve stealth mode in 2015 cars.
