I, i have the same issue…but in France ! My Jaguar dealer said that the only way is to destroy the roof in order to have access to the mécanisms and motor and change it By a new one.
Does anyone has found a solution not that expansive.

I bought a used roof complete (tissue in bad shape and very good mechanism) for 1200€ A jaguar specialist gently disconnect the tissue from the mechanism benginning by the front part and so he can access to the mechanism. He destroy the mechanism, remove it and put the new one in place. Then he put my old tissue on the mechanism and job done. 2800€. It would have been much less expansive if he had not to carefully remove my old tissue and simply change all the roof.
